Without warning, a pandemic took over and fully re-shaped our lives. The sudden arrival of Covid-19 has forcefully confronted us with the fragility of our society and world. More than ever, we are aware that we need to change our way of living, and no matter what happens next, our view on the world will never be the same. More than ever, we feel that change is necessary.

But how? All eyes are focused on the horizon, waiting for something to guide us and tell us that everything will be alright again. Our hearts long for a spark of hope. A beacon, even just a shimmer, like a lighthouse guiding a ship in dangerous storms back to safe shores.

As our wish for a bright future, we envision this light, a perpetually turning beacon set in motion by the winds that blow in our cities, connecting people and bringing a wave of warmth into hearts all across world.
We solidify the shimmer on the horizon that we need in these uncertain times.

Our installation comes to life by the magical interplay of the natural flow of wind and a colorful reflection of a central light source. Spectators and by-passers all around it are connected by its radiating beams, so even strangers come together in this glistering source of hope.

The sight of the installation is ever-changing, as its character changes with the force of the wind. The disks of the installation turn faster as they catch more of the wind’s force with their lamella.
The adjacent disks each turn in an opposite direction, creating a captivating movement of light beams.

The central light source is reflected by a dichroic foil on its lamella, with colorful reflections of the central light source as a result. Even during daytime, the reflection of the sunlight on the foils transforms the installation into a beautiful colorful structure, highlighting the beauty of the landscape.
